THE SOAP FACTORY

A joint venture between Cubo Group and Banco Group – The Soap Factory provided the opportunity to redevelop the historical former ‘Kitchen and Sons’ headquarters into a commercial, retail and residential HUB on the fringe of Melbourne’s CBD.

The existing red brick façade of the 3,400m2 site was retained, whilst the interior was configured in a way to create over 6,000m2 of commercial and retail space with a niche industrial feel, thanks in part to 4.5 metre ceilings and excellent natural light. Some of our tenants currently include Smarter Communities, MAAP Cycling, Vinomofo, Core Plus, Goz City and Uncle Roccos Barbershop.

Alongside the existing factory, a new four level structure was built, housing 11 boutique loft style apartments, evoking the scale and proportions of the existing warehouse, while 11 penthouse apartments with uninterrupted CBD and Bay views sit atop the existing factory.
